Year 6

Today Year 6 learned all about the world of work by starting up companies. Kathryn from Wigan Education Business Partnership told the children how a company worked. After making six teams the children decided on company names. Teams learned how to make origami ducks and swans-not easy!! Finally they went to work making ducks and swans which they had to sell to a very fussy customer…ME! The team who made the most profit won. Thanks for a fantastic experience Kathryn. Mr. Hoban.

World War 2 Day was fantastic! Mr. Graham came in and told the children all about his experiences growing up during World War 2. What a great start to a new topic. Thanks Mr. Graham I only hope I have your energy when I’m 84. Mr. Hoban.

What a great day! Everyone in Y6 took part and looked fantastic- we also raised a lot of money too. Mr. Hoban.

Year 6 played in a football festival at the Soccer Dome today and were fantastic! We entered three teams in two competitions and came first in both. The behaviour of the children was …outstanding. Thanks to the team managers Mr. Khan, Mr. Riley and Mrs. Holmes who did a wonderful job. Also thanks to Geoff for helping out as he always does. Mr. Hoban.
